Jim Chory is a television producer and director. He began his career in the 1980s as an assistant director on feature films including *Atlantic City* (1980), *Zelig* (1983), *The Purple Rose of Cairo* (1985) and *City Slickers* (1991).

Chory moved into television production and directing in the 1990s and 2000s. He served as producer, co-executive producer and executive producer on *Heroes* (2006–2010), where he also directed three episodes. His later credits include executive producer roles on multiple Marvel series such as *Marvel's Daredevil* (2015), *Marvel's Jessica Jones* (2015), *Marvel's Luke Cage* (2016), *Marvel's Iron Fist* (2017), *Marvel's The Punisher* (2017) and *Marvel's The Defenders* (2017). He has also produced *Dark Winds* (2022–) and received Emmy nominations for his work.
