## Biography

Jim Clay is an English production designer. Born in 1948 in Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire, he studied architecture before joining the BBC television art department in the 1970s.

He received a BAFTA TV Award nomination for best design on the 1986 mini-series *The Singing Detective*. He later won BAFTA awards for the 1988 mini-series *Christabel* and the 2006 film *Children of Men*.

His film credits include production design on *The Crying Game* (1992), *Love Actually* (2003), *Match Point* (2005), *Children of Men* (2006), *Murder on the Orient Express* (2017) and *Belfast* (2021), as well as work on the series *House of the Dragon*.
