Jim Howick is an English actor and writer. He trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and has appeared in numerous British television series and films since the late 1990s.

He is known for his roles in *Horrible Histories* (2009–2013), *Ghosts* (2019–2023) as Patrick 'Pat' Butcher (also co-creator and writer), *Sex Education* (2019–2022) as Colin Hendricks, *Peep Show* (2007–2012) as Gerard Matthew, *Bill* (2015), and *Hellboy* (2004) as Cpl. Matlin. He has also appeared in *Broadchurch* (2013), *The Wrong Mans* (2013), *Inside No. 9* (2014), and *Here We Go* (2022–present).

Howick plays The Verderer in the Channel 4 series *The Change* (2023–2025). He is married to Lauren Denny.
