## Biography

Joan Marie O'Brien (14 February 1936 – 5 May 2025) was an American actress and singer. She began her career as a singer on television programmes including Hometown Jamboree and The Bob Crosby Show before moving into acting in the late 1950s.

Her film roles include Second Lieutenant Dolores Crandall in Operation Petticoat (1959), Susanna Dickinson in The Alamo (1960), Melinda Marshall in The Comancheros (1961) and Diane Warren in It Happened at the World's Fair (1963). She also appeared in guest roles on television series such as Perry Mason, The Dick Van Dyke Show and The Man from U.N.C.L.E.. O'Brien retired from acting in the mid-1960s.
