Joanna Gleason is a Canadian actress and singer. She originated the role of the Baker's Wife in Stephen Sondheim's *Into the Woods* on Broadway in 1987, winning the Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical in 1988.

Her film roles include Carol in *Hannah and Her Sisters* (1986), Wendy Stern in *Crimes and Misdemeanors* (1989) and Dirk's Mother in *Boogie Nights* (1997). She has also appeared in television series such as *Friends*, *ER* and *Blue Bloods*.
