## Biography

Jocelyn Bioh is a Ghanaian-American writer, playwright and actor. She graduated from Ohio State University with a BA in English and Theatre and holds an MFA in Playwriting from Columbia University.

Bioh has written for television on *Russian Doll* (2019), *She’s Gotta Have It*, *Tiny Beautiful Things* (2023) and *The Acolyte* (2024). Her plays include *School Girls; Or, the African Mean Girls Play* (2017), *Nollywood Dreams* and *Jaja’s African Hair Braiding* (2023). She also adapted *Merry Wives* for the Public Theater.

As an actor, Bioh appeared on Broadway in *The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time*. She has received awards including the Lortel Award, Hull-Warriner Award and a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Adaptation.
