## Biography

Jody Worth is an American television writer and producer. He is the son of producer and screenwriter Marvin Worth.

Worth began his television writing career on *Hill Street Blues* in 1987. He contributed as a writer and in various production roles on *NYPD Blue* from 1994, including story and teleplay credits on multiple episodes and producer positions across several seasons. He joined the crew of *Deadwood* in 2004 as a writer and consulting producer for the first season, advancing to supervising producer for the second season in 2005. He wrote four episodes across the two seasons.

Worth and the *Deadwood* production staff received Emmy Award and Writers Guild of America Award nominations for Outstanding Drama Series. He later worked as supervising producer and writer on *The Protector* (2011) and as consulting writer on *Shades of Blue* (2018).
