## Biography

Joe Davola is an American television and film producer, director and writer. He was born in Brooklyn, New York City, and raised in Rosedale, New York. He began his career at MTV as an associate producer and later became a senior executive producer, co-creating the game show *Remote Control*.

Davola joined Fox Broadcasting Company as Senior Vice President of Development, where he helped develop series including *In Living Colour* and *The Ben Stiller Show*. He later formed Tollin/Robbins Productions with Mike Tollin and Brian Robbins. The company produced series such as *All That*, *The Amanda Show*, *Smallville* and *One Tree Hill* (2003–2012), on which Davola served as executive producer and directed ten episodes.

He has also been involved in projects including *What I Like About You* and *AwesomenessTV*. The recurring character 'Crazy' Joe Davola on the sitcom *Seinfeld* was named after him.
