Joe Dorsey is an American actor known for supporting roles in film and television. Born on 15 January 1932 in Florida, he began his screen career in the early 1970s.

After relocating to Atlanta, Georgia, he played a major role in the independent hit *Grizzly* (1976). He served as the first president of Georgia's Screen Actors Guild. His credits include *Norma Rae* (1979), *The Great Santini* (1979) as Coach Spinks, *WarGames* (1983) as Conley, *Brainstorm* (1983) as Hal Abramson, *Real Genius* (1985) and *Bat*21* (1988) as Colonel Douglass.
