## Biography

Joe Leonard is an American film and television editor. A graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts, he began his career in post-production working with director Danny Leiner. He has edited episodes of series including *Mr. Robot* (2019), *Star* (2016–2019), *Dark Matter* (2024), *Gaslit* (2022), *Empire* (2015) and *American Horror Story* (2011).

Leonard also directed one episode of *Star* and wrote and directed the independent feature *How I Got Lost* (2009). He is a member of the American Cinema Editors, the Motion Picture Editors Guild and the Directors Guild of America, and a co-founder of the Los Angeles film collective We Make Movies. He was born in St. Louis.
