## Biography

Joe Passarelli is a cinematographer. He graduated from Columbia College Chicago, where he studied on the set of *The Weatherman* under cinematographer Phedon Papamichael, and furthered his studies in cinematography at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles.

Passarelli served as director of photography on the stop-motion feature *Anomalisa* (2015), co-directed by Charlie Kaufman and Duke Johnson, with whom he had previously collaborated on a thesis film and the series *Mary Shelley’s Frankenhole*. His other credits include the series *Ultra City Smiths* and an Emmy Award-winning episode of *Cosmos: Possible Worlds*, as well as the feature *The Actor*.
