## Biography

Joe Weisberg is an American television writer, producer and novelist. He created and served as showrunner for the FX series *The Americans* (2013–2018), on which he also wrote episodes, and co-created the limited series *The Patient* (2022) with Joel Fields.

Weisberg grew up in Chicago and graduated from Yale University in 1987. He worked in the CIA’s Directorate of Operations in the early 1990s before becoming a high-school teacher and novelist. His novels include *10th Grade* (2002) and *An Ordinary Spy* (2008). He wrote episodes for *Falling Skies* (2011) and *Damages*. He is the son of Lois Weisberg and brother of Jacob Weisberg.
