Joël Flateau is a French actor. He was born on 28 December 1950 in the 16th arrondissement of Paris.

The son of actors Georges Flateau and Ginette d'Yd, he began his career as a child performer. He became known for the lead role of Rémi in the 1958 film *Sans Famille* and appeared as Cesario (Fanny's son) in *Fanny* (1961).

Flateau's other credits include television work such as episodes of *Le théâtre de la jeunesse* (1960–1963) and the film *The Victors* (1963). He did not continue acting after 1963.
