## Biography

Joel Madison is an American television writer and producer. A former stand-up comedian from Minneapolis, he began his television career writing for the sitcom *Roseanne*.

He contributed episodes to *Roseanne* between 1990 and 1992, and later wrote for *The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air* in 1995, also serving as supervising producer on the series. Madison created the sitcom *Malcolm & Eddie* (1996–2000) and has written for *Undeclared* (2001) among other shows. He has worked as a consulting producer on series including *Crashing* (2017) and has taught comedy writing.
