## Biography

Joey Attawia is a British costume designer and film and television producer. He trained at Central Saint Martins and began his career in 1995 as costume designer on the television film *3 Steps to Heaven*. His costume credits include the series *Cold Feet*, *Primeval* and *Shameless*, and the films *Peggy Su!* (1997), *Storm Damage* (2000) and *Damilola, Our Loved Boy* (2016).

As a producer, Attawia co-produced the television film *Mysterious Creatures* (2006) and was executive producer on *An Englishman in New York* (2009), the series *Missing* (2009–2010) and the film *The Holding* (2011). He is a founding director of the international production group Argonon and executive producer and strategic advisor at Leopard Pictures.

Attawia received the Royal Television Society Award for Best Costume Design – Drama for *Peggy Su!*. He was nominated for a BAFTA TV Award and an RTS Award for his work on *An Englishman in New York*.
