## Biography

Joey Bishop, born Joseph Abraham Gottlieb, was an American actor, comedian and television host. He appeared in films from the late 1950s and was a member of the Rat Pack alongside Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr. and Peter Lawford.

Bishop played 'Mushy' O'Connors in *Ocean's Eleven* (1960). He also appeared in *Sergeants 3* (1962) and *Texas Across the River* (1966), and had roles in television series including *Get Smart* and *Murder, She Wrote*. He starred in his own sitcom, *The Joey Bishop Show* (1961–1965), and hosted a late-night talk show on ABC.

Bishop was born on 3 February 1918 in the Bronx, New York City, and died on 17 October 2007 in Newport Beach, California.
