## Biography

John Blundell is a British actor. He is best known for playing Banks in the 1977 BBC television play *Scum* and its 1979 film adaptation, and for his uncredited role as Chief Rocker in *Quadrophenia* (1979). He also appeared as Man with Knife in *Nil by Mouth* (1997).

Blundell spent a long period at the National Theatre. He starred in and co-wrote the children's television series *You Must Be Joking* (1974–1976). His other television credits include appearances in *EastEnders*, *Grange Hill*, *Just Good Friends*, *Juliet Bravo* and *Girls on Top*. He also worked extensively in commercials.
