John Brown (4 April 1904 – 16 May 1957) was a British-American actor. Born in Hull, Yorkshire, England, he worked in radio, film and television from the 1930s until his death.

He had prominent radio roles including Al in *My Friend Irma*, Gillis and Digby “Digger” O’Dell in *The Life of Riley* (later reprised on television), and “Broadway” in *The Damon Runyon Theatre*. In film he played Professor Collins in Alfred Hitchcock’s *Strangers on a Train* (1951), appeared in *The Day the Earth Stood Still* (1951) and *The Wild One* (1953), and voiced Ro-Man in *Robot Monster* (1953). He also played Harry Morton briefly on *The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show*.
