## Biography

John Buckwalter was an American actor whose career spanned stage, film and television from the 1940s onwards. His screen credits include the role of Dr. Sindell in Woody Allen's *Zelig* (1983) and appearances in television series such as *The Defenders* (1962–1964), *The Edge of Night* (1983) and *Love of Life* (1960).

He made his Broadway debut in 1943 as Thanos in the play *Land of Fame*. Buckwalter was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, on 10 July 1917 and died on 19 June 2006.
