## Biography

John Craig (1928–1999) was an American actor. Born Joseph Cline, Jr. in Indianapolis, Indiana, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Butler University before entering musical theatre.

Craig performed in a touring production of South Pacific and appeared on Broadway in Happy Hunting and as a replacement in the title role of Li'l Abner. He worked extensively in television from the late 1950s, with guest roles in series including The Rifleman, Rawhide and Here's Lucy, and made occasional film appearances.

His screen credits include The Gambler Wore a Gun (1961), Shock Corridor (1963) as Lloyd, Devil's Angels (1967), Sweet Charity (1969) and Pennies from Heaven (1981).
