## Biography

John Cygan (1954–2017) was an American actor and comedian. He began his screen career in television in 1990, with regular roles as Harlan Stone in the sitcom *Bob* and as Detective Paulie "Pants" Pentangeli in *The Commish*, as well as guest appearances in *The X-Files* and *Modern Family*.

Cygan was also known for extensive voice work in animation and video games. He supplied additional voices for Pixar films including *WALL·E* (2008), *Up* (2009), *Toy Story 3* (2010) as Twitch, *Monsters University* (2013) as Big Red, and *Inside Out* (2015). Other credits include voices in *Horton Hears a Who!* (2008), *The Lorax* (2012) and *Despicable Me 2* (2013). He died of cancer in Woodland Hills, California.
