## Biography

John Dennis was an American actor. He appeared in the 1953 film *From Here to Eternity* as Sgt. Ike Galovitch, as well as in *Marty* (1955), *Soylent Green* (1973), *Young Frankenstein* (1974) and *Conquest of the Planet of the Apes* (1972).

His other film roles include parts in *Airport* (1970) and *Funny Girl* (1968). On television he appeared in series such as *Batman* (1966), *Get Smart* (1965) and *The Incredible Hulk* (1977). He performed on stage in the 1954 musical *By the Beautiful Sea*.

He was also credited as Bob Brophy and was married to Carolinda Brophy.
