John F. Hamilton (also credited as John Hamilton and John Frank Hamilton) was an American actor. Born in New York City on 7 November 1893, he graduated from Fordham University and began performing in vaudeville in 1916. He appeared in numerous Broadway productions from the 1920s to the 1940s, including Of Mice and Men (1937) and Clash by Night (1941).

His film work was occasional. He played Police Desk Sergeant Shannon in The Undercover Man (1949) and 'Pop' Doyle in On the Waterfront (1954). Hamilton also worked in television in the 1950s and early 1960s. He died on 11 July 1967 in Paramus, New Jersey, aged 73.
