## Biography

John Fusco is an American screenwriter, producer and television series creator. Raised in Prospect, Connecticut, he left high school early to travel the American South as a blues musician before returning to complete his education and graduating from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.

His screenplays include *Crossroads* (1986), *Young Guns* (1988), *Young Guns II* (1990), *Thunderheart* (1992), *Hidalgo* (2004), *Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron* (2002) and *The Highwaymen* (2019). He created and served as showrunner on the Netflix series *Marco Polo* (2014). Fusco has also written novels and continues to perform as a blues musician.
