## Biography

John Gemberling (born 1 February 1981) is an American actor and comedian. He is best known for his recurring role as Matt Bevers on the Comedy Central series *Broad City* (2014–2019).

Gemberling began performing at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in New York, where he was a member of the improv group Death By Roo Roo. He co-created and starred in the Adult Swim series *Fat Guy Stuck in Internet* (2007–2008). His other television credits include *Marry Me* (2014) as Gil and *Making History* (2017) as John Hancock, alongside guest appearances on *The Office* (2005) and voice roles in animated series such as *American Dad!* and *Big Mouth*.
