## Biography

John Goldstone is a British film producer. He began his career in 1961 as a production assistant on *A Kind of Loving* and later worked as personal assistant to producer Joseph Janni on several films including *Billy Liar*, *Darling* and *Far from the Madding Crowd*. His first credit as producer was *Three Sisters* (1970), directed by Laurence Olivier.

Goldstone has maintained a long association with the Monty Python team. He served as executive producer on *Monty Python and the Holy Grail* (1975) and producer on *Monty Python's Life of Brian* (1979) and *Monty Python's The Meaning of Life* (1983). Other credits include associate producer on *The Rocky Horror Picture Show* (1975), producer on *Shock Treatment* (1981), executive producer on *Jabberwocky* (1977) and producer on *Erik the Viking* (1989) and the live-action *The Wind in the Willows* (1996).

He produced *Carry On Columbus* (1992) and created The Comedy House in 1990 with funding from Twentieth Century-Fox to support British comedy talent. He is married to Linda Seifert.
