## Biography

John Grillo is a cinematographer and director. He began his career in the camera department, working as a first assistant camera, camera operator and second unit director of photography on features including *Collateral* (2004), *Bad Boys II* (2003) and *Public Enemies* (2009). He collaborated extensively with director Michael Mann between 2000 and 2020.

Grillo became a full-time cinematographer in 2010. His television credits include *The Leftovers* (2014), *Westworld* (2016), for which he shot eight episodes across seasons two and three and received an Emmy nomination, *Preacher*, *Snowpiercer* (2020), *Perry Mason* (2020) and *Tokyo Vice* (2022). He has directed three episodes of *Preacher* and is a member of the Directors Guild of America.

Grillo was elected to membership of the American Society of Cinematographers in 2024. He has received ASC and Emmy nominations for his work.
