Born in Melbourne, Victoria, he began acting after an early audition for the miniseries *The Pacific* (2010), in which he appeared as a young Japanese soldier. While still at school he joined the cast of the long-running Australian soap *Neighbours* (2009–2011) as Dale McGregor. Kim is best known for playing Ezekiel Jones in the TNT series *The Librarians* (2014–2018).
