John Henry Faulk (1913–1990) was an American storyteller, radio show host and actor. Born in Austin, Texas, he developed his skills as a folklorist at the University of Texas and later hosted radio programmes including The John Henry Faulk Show on CBS.

Faulk appeared in several films, including as Governor T.T. Claypoole in *The Best Man* (1964) and as the Storyteller in *The Texas Chain Saw Massacre* (1974). He also had roles in *All the Way Home* (1963), *Lovin' Molly* (1974) and *Leadbelly* (1976), and made television appearances on series such as *Hee Haw*.

His successful libel lawsuit against blacklisters in the entertainment industry helped end the Hollywood blacklist of the McCarthy era.
