## Biography

John Henshaw is an English actor. Born in Manchester, he worked as a refuse collector for ten years before beginning his acting career at the age of 40.

His early break came in the Channel 4 series *G.B.H.* (1991). He is known for television roles including Ken Dixon in *Early Doors* (2003–2004), Wilf Bradshaw in *Born and Bred* (2002–2005) and PC Roy Bramwell in *The Cops* (1998–2001), as well as Roger Kavanagh in *The Royle Family* (2000). Film credits include *Looking for Eric* (2009), *The Angels' Share* (2012), *Stan & Ollie* (2018) and *The Keeper* (2018).

Henshaw has served as director of the 24:7 Theatre Festival in Manchester and is a patron of the Ancoats Dispensary Trust.
