## Biography

John Hurst was a British production designer. He worked on the BBC science fiction series *Doctor Who* from 1973 to 1984, serving as designer on ten episodes including *Planet of the Daleks* (1973) and *The Caves of Androzani* (1984).

Hurst contributed to numerous other British television series, among them *Bergerac* (1981–1985), *Shoestring* (1979–1980), *Top of the Pops* (1984) and *The Lenny Henry Show* (1984). He died in 2015.
