## Biography

John Inwood is a cinematographer and director. He studied English literature at Vassar College before completing a graduate degree in directing and cinematography at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. After working as a lighting electrician and gaffer, he began shooting full-time in the 1990s.

His television credits include 150 episodes of *Scrubs* (2001–2009), for which he received an Emmy nomination, as well as *Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt* (2015–2019), *Girls5eva* (2021–2024), *Manifest* (2018–2020) and *Murphy Brown* (2018). Feature film work includes *The Daytrippers* (1997) and *Space Cadet* (2024). He is a member of the American Society of Cinematographers and has taught at several universities.
