John Irwin is a British actor and writer. He has contributed additional material and scripts to numerous comedy programmes, including *Room 101* (2023–2025), *Life of Riley* (2011), *The Lenny Henry Show* (2004) and *Thank God You're Here* (2008).

As an actor he appeared in ensemble roles on *Brass Eye* (1997), *Unnatural Acts* (1998), *Does China Exist?* (1997) and several Paul Merton series in the early 1990s. Earlier writing credits include *All Rise for Julian Clary* (1996) and *Hello Mum* (1987, as Irwin/Martin).
