## Biography

John Joyce is a production designer specialising in stop-motion animation. He trained in fine arts and worked in design before entering animation, designing children's books and contributing to the art department on the later episodes of the series *Mary Shelley's Frankenhole*.

At Starburns Industries he progressed to production design on the short *Beforel Orel: Trust* (2012). His first feature credit was as production designer (with Huy Vu) on the stop-motion film *Anomalisa* (2015), directed by Charlie Kaufman and Duke Johnson; he also worked as set dresser during the low-budget production, which involved constructing multiple duplicate miniature sets.
