## Biography

John Leekley is an American television writer, director and producer. He began his career as writer and associate producer on the 1982 CBS miniseries *The Blue and the Gray*, for which he also wrote the novelisation.

Leekley wrote episodes of *Miami Vice* (1984) and created the series *Kindred: The Embraced* (1996) and *Wolf Lake* (2001–2002). He wrote for and served as executive producer on the HBO animated series *Spawn* (1997–1999), for which he received a Primetime Emmy Award. His other credits include the television films *She Fought Alone* (1995), *Buried Secrets* (1996) and *Night Sins* (1997), and he wrote and directed the feature film *The Prince of Central Park* (2000). He is married to Rebekah Bradford Leekley.
