## Biography

John Mason is a producer, writer, editor and sound mixer. He began his career in the late 1960s as a sound mixer and editor, collaborating on documentaries including *American Revolution 2* (1969), *The Murder of Fred Hampton* (1971) and *The Gift: Four Seasons Mosaic of Marc Chagall* (1974).

He co-wrote the *Star Trek: The Next Generation* episode 'Unnatural Selection' (1989) with Mike Gray and served as producer on the first thirteen episodes of the series' second season. Mason also wrote for and produced the series *Starman* (1986–1987). His later credits include editing the series *Atmospheres* (2000).
