John McCririck (17 April 1940 – 5 July 2019) was an English horse racing pundit, journalist and television personality. He began his career at *The Sporting Life*, where he won two British Press Awards for campaigning journalism before being sacked in 1984. He later became a prominent figure on Channel 4 Racing, known for his distinctive on-course reports.

McCririck appeared as himself in several television programmes, including the *Still Game* episode 'Drama' (2006) and *Brass Eye* (1997). He also took part in reality and celebrity shows such as *Celebrity Big Brother* and *The Weakest Link*.
