## Biography

John Petersen is an American composer and musician. He composed the score for the animated series *Voltron: Defender of the Universe* (1984–1985), working on 115 episodes and providing the theme music and arrangements.

Petersen later assisted Jan Hammer on the fourth season of *Miami Vice* (1987–1988). He contributed to episodes from "Missing Hours" through to "A Bullet for Crockett", eventually taking over scoring duties for part of the season. His subsequent credits include the films *The Keeper* (1995) and *Childless* (2008), and episodes of *Yu-Gi-Oh!* (2000).
