## Biography

John Phillip Law (also credited as John Philip Law) was an American actor. Born in Los Angeles, California, on 7 September 1937, he died there on 13 May 2008. He studied at the Neighborhood Playhouse and with the Lincoln Center Repertory Theater in New York before appearing in Italian films. He gained notice for his role as Alexei Kolchin in the 1966 comedy *The Russians Are Coming, the Russians Are Coming*.

Law appeared in *Danger: Diabolik* (1968), *Barbarella* (1968) as Pygar, *Death Rides a Horse* (1967), *The Golden Voyage of Sinbad* (1973) and *The Love Machine* (1971). He worked extensively in Europe and the United States across genres including westerns, fantasy and drama. He was the son of actress Phyllis Sallee.
