John Polson is an Australian actor and director. Born in Sydney, he began his career as an actor in the 1980s, appearing in films including *The Sum of Us* (1994) and *Mission: Impossible II* (2000).

He founded the short film festival Tropfest in 1993. As a director, his feature films include *Siam Sunset* (1999), *Swimfan* (2002) and *Hide and Seek* (2005).
