## Biography

John Robert Lloyd (1920–1998) was an American production designer and art director. His credits include production design on *Midnight Cowboy* (1969), *The Boys in the Band* (1970), *The Owl and the Pussycat* (1970), *They Might Be Giants* (1971), *The Hot Rock* (1972), *Swashbuckler* (1976) and *Clue* (1985). He also worked as art director on *The Exorcist* (1973).

Lloyd’s production design material from 1968 to 1979 is held in the Margaret Herrick Library at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and died in New York City.
