## Biography

John Spiker is an American musician, producer and composer. He is best known as the bassist for the comedy rock band Tenacious D, a role he has held since 2005, and for his work as a session musician and engineer with artists including Filter, Steve Earle and John Carpenter.

Spiker composed the theme music for the 2014 film *Let's Kill Ward's Wife*. His other film credits include music department work on *The Super Mario Bros. Movie* (2023), *2012* (2009) and *The Stepfather* (2009). He was born on 10 July 1981 in Columbus, Ohio.
