## Biography

John Victor Smith was a British film editor. He began his career as an assistant editor in the late 1940s and worked as an editor from the early 1960s onwards.

His credits include *The Harder They Come* (1972), *The Three Musketeers* (1973), *Robin and Marian* (1976), *Superman II* (1980) and *Superman III* (1983). He received a BAFTA nomination for best editing for *The Three Musketeers*. Smith died in December 2019 in London.
