## Biography

John Winter is an Australian film and television writer, director and producer. He produced *Rabbit-Proof Fence* (2002), which won the AFI Award for Best Film. Other producing credits include *Doing Time for Patsy Cline* (1997), *Paperback Hero* (1999) and *My Mother Frank* (2000).

Winter wrote and directed the feature *Black & White & Sex* (2012), which won an ATOM Award for Best Experimental Film and screened at the International Film Festival Rotterdam. He holds an Arts Degree in Anthropology and Indian Studies from Melbourne University.
