## Biography

Jon Bokenkamp (born 30 June 1973) is an American writer and producer. He grew up in Kearney, Nebraska, where he was involved in theatre and music at Kearney High School. He attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney before graduating from the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts in 1995.

Bokenkamp wrote the screenplays for *Taking Lives* (2004) and *Perfect Stranger* (2007), and the story for *The Call* (2013). He created the NBC series *The Blacklist* (2013–2023), on which he also served as writer, teleplay and story contributor, and its spin-off *The Blacklist: Redemption* (2017). He later created the series *The Last Frontier* (2025). He received an honorary doctorate in fine arts from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2019.
