## Biography

Jon Brittain is a British playwright, comedy writer and director. Born in May 1987 in Chester, he grew up in the Netherlands and graduated with a BA from the University of East Anglia in 2008.

His play *Rotterdam* premiered at Theatre503 in 2015 and won the Olivier Award for Outstanding Achievement in an Affiliate Theatre in 2017. He co-created the stage show *Margaret Thatcher Queen of Soho* and has directed comedy performances including the original stage production of *Baby Reindeer*. On television, he wrote for season 2 of *The Amazing World of Gumball* (2013), served as staff writer on *The Crown*, and was head writer and co-executive producer on *The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin* (2024).
