## Biography

Jon Hutman is an American production designer. He earned a degree in architecture from Yale University and studied scenic design, painting and lighting at the Yale School of Drama.

Hutman has designed sets for numerous films, including *Heathers* (1988), *A River Runs Through It* (1992), *Quiz Show* (1994), *The Horse Whisperer* (1998), *Coyote Ugly* (2000) and *Rock of Ages* (2012). He has served as production designer on all films directed by Nancy Meyers since *What Women Want* (2000), as well as *The Tourist* (2010), *In the Land of Blood and Honey* (2011) and *Unbroken* (2014).

In 2000 he shared a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Art Direction for a Single-Camera Series for his work on the pilot of *The West Wing*. He directed the 2001 episode 'Gone Quiet' of the series and an episode of *Gideon's Crossing*.
