## Biography

Jon Jon Briones is a Filipino-American actor. Born Ernesto Cloma Briones Jr on 7 August 1965 in Quezon City, Philippines, he began his career in the ensemble of the original 1989 London production of *Miss Saigon* while still an engineering student.

He later played the role of The Engineer in the West End revival of *Miss Saigon* in 2014, earning a Laurence Olivier Award nomination for Best Actor in a Musical, and reprised the part on Broadway in 2017. Briones has appeared in numerous television series, including *Ratched* (2020) as Dr Richard Hanover, *American Horror Story* (2018) as Ariel Augustus, and *The Last Voyage of the Demeter* (2023) as Joseph. He is credited as Dr Guy in the 2026 series *The Beauty*.

Briones is married to actress and singer Megan Johnson Briones. Their children, Isa and Teo Briones, are also actors.
