## Biography

Jon Kenny (28 September 1957 – 15 November 2024) was an Irish comedian and actor. He was best known as one half of the comedy duo D'Unbelievables with Pat Shortt. The pair released several videos and toured successfully until 2000, when Kenny was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

Kenny appeared in *Father Ted* as Michael Cocheese and Fred Rickwood. His film roles included Gerry in *The Banshees of Inisherin* (2022), the Lavatory Man in *Angela's Ashes* (1999) and Thénardier in *Les Misérables* (1998). He provided the voice of Ferry Dan / The Great Seanachaí in the animated film *Song of the Sea* (2014) and voiced characters in *Wolfwalkers* (2020). He also featured in *The Van* (1996) and *Mrs. Brown's Boys D'Movie* (2014).

After the duo ended touring, Kenny performed solo stand-up and created the theatre show *Mag Mell*. He died in Galway, aged 67.
