## Biography

Jonathan Alwyn was a British television director and producer. Born in London on 10 October 1930, he directed episodes of series including *The Avengers* (1961) and *Public Eye* (1965). He also directed for *Mystery and Imagination* (1966), *The Rivals of Sherlock Holmes* (1971) and later series such as *Enemy at the Door* (1978) and *Juliet Bravo* (1980).

Alwyn was the son of composer William Alwyn. He was married to Pamela Jackson from 1957 until her death in 2018. He died on 29 August 2021.
